DESIGNING EXPERIENCES
I’m interested in all aspects of food culture: the ingredients, the culinary process; the theatre of presentation; the design of the kitchen; the design of the equipment and utensils; and the serving and enjoyment of food.
I want to explore through experimental eating spaces how participants are encouraged to interact with the surrounding, participating actively.
I’m interested in the whole eating experience. What is the feel for the eye and then in the mouth. How does a different sensory experience change the perception of a space.
Not only has our relationship with the kitchen changed but also our relationship with the humble dining table.
How we approach a table is a dialogue about what it is. A table is a platform for presentation. The purpose of the table is really to allow us to interact.
Instructions and formulas actively contribute to this world. I see a score as a composition you can adopt following certain rules or forgetting them, and mixing, adding, arranging elements as you want.
The result is unique, the possibilities unlimited.
