Square Obsession by beatrice fuzzi

I've just started this stunning book by Kandinsky talking about his art philosophy and his theories on graphics, symbols and art related tools.

Even Munari of course researched about it, he published a book on the topic and lot more artists and designers have been really obsessed about this. I'm really excited about this book as well as the graphics around the circle... are you?

TASTING RITUALS - MASTER OF ARTS FINAL SHOW by beatrice fuzzi

4th - 10th  September 2015, Chelsea College of Arts - London

Tasting Rituals is a ‘sensible’ eating space, where nutritional education, rituals and ancient tradition contribute to sensitise the social issues.

The kitchen become a playful environment that demonstrates how the act of cooking could be even more fun if seen as a game. The workbench consists of worktop modules that can be combined according to individual requirements and personal taste, offering a variety of possibilities, useful functions and material choices.

The individual modules can even be changed to accommodate different needs or design ideas.

DESIGNING EXPERIENCES

I’m interested in all aspects of food culture: the ingredients, the culinary process; the theatre of presentation; the design of the kitchen; the design of the equipment and utensils; and the serving and enjoyment of food.
I want to explore through experimental eating spaces how participants are encouraged to interact with the surrounding, participating actively.
I’m interested in the whole eating experience. What is the feel for the eye and then in the mouth. How does a different sensory experience change the perception of a space.
Not only has our relationship with the kitchen changed but also our relationship with the humble dining table.
How we approach a table is a dialogue about what it is. A table is a platform for presentation. The purpose of the table is really to allow us to interact.
Instructions and formulas actively contribute to this world. I see a score as a composition you can adopt following certain rules or forgetting them, and mixing, adding, arranging elements as you want.

The result is unique, the possibilities unlimited.

COS X NENDO: White Shirts + Wire Spaces by beatrice fuzzi

Great Installation at Salone del Mobile 2014.

COS x NENDO

In short, the installation is comprised of a series of white button-up shirts that each interact with a collection of three-dimensional steel frames. Wanting to draw attention to the otherwise negative space within these open-air cubes, the shirts are colored wherever they penetrate the exterior threshold of these geometric forms. Often times, a single garment will be contained within several cubes at a time (as in the header image above), with unique coloring to correspond to each sector.

Tuscany Weekend - Cantina Marchesi Antinori by beatrice fuzzi

Cantina Marchesi Antinori nel Chianti Classico

Cantina Marchesi Antinori nel Chianti Classico

This winery is located in Chianti Classico region, just 20 minutes from Florence. The cellar is designed by one of Italy's leading architect, Marco Casamonti (Archea Associati) who I had the chance to meet during my lunch at the restaurant.

I visited this stunning winery this weekend and it was just amazing! I tried a delicious Chianti wine tasting menu with some tuscany specialities dishes and an amazing CHIANTI BURGER.  What a beautiful pitstop!

Custom Spaces - Offices by beatrice fuzzi

Airbnb Office in San Francisco

Airbnb Open Area

Airbnb Open Area

Brian Chesky, Joe Gebbia, and Nathan Blecharczyk gave the Gensler Airbnb team, led by Principal Lisa Bottom, a challenge to create a home for Airbnb that would express the company’s unique culture, values and brand. Important considerations included connections to the site and its rich history, connections to the local San Francisco community, sustainability in the design and construction of the space, and the creation of choices for workers in how they could work throughout the day.

To ensure that the Gensler design team fully understood the culture and values that made Airbnb unique, they embedded themselves in Airbnb’s offices for four months. During that time the team was able to experience the company culture and participate in events along with Airbnb employees. With this setup, the project was an unusual collaboration between the Gensler designers and the Airbnb founders, who are designers in their own right.
